ONE-DAY WORKSHOPS SOAPSTONE SCULPTURE Instructor: Janus, B.A. Date: Sunday Feb 5th Time: 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Cost: $41.00 A great introduction to the world of carving in soft stone. Investigate the simplified forms of Inuit to modern art. Create a small but memorable handheld sculpture. Required materials: Soap Stone carving kit from Curry’s, approximately $15. WATERCOLOUR ABSTRACTIONS Instructor: Janus, B.F.A. Date: Sunday, March 4 Time: 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Cost: $41.00 A workshop for beginners and advanced alike. A fun way to free up your brush, experiment with colour and wet on wet applications. Supply List: Watercolour paper, board, paints, brushes, sponges, water containers, paper towels / rags or a $4 fee can be paid to instructor, if materials are needed. GLASS AND CONCRETE PATIO STONE WORKSHOP Instructor: Janet Mercer Date: Sunday, Feb 5th Place: 82 Dundas St, Dundas Time: 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Cost: $41.00 A hands-on workshop which takes you through the basic of glass cutting, with this knowledge create a design for your stone, prepare the mould, and pour your concrete for a beautiful stone for your garden or a table top. Material fee of $30 payable to the instructor. Finished stone to be picked up after Wednesday 8th Feb. EXPLORING WATERCOLOUR: Colour ,Light, and Design Instructor: Bonnie Steinberg CSPWC,SCA,TWS,BFA Date: Sunday, March 4 Time: 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Cost: $41.00 This ALL LEVELS workshop will concentrate on compositional design, dramatic light and colour. An exploration of seasonal details will be integrated into an Ontario landscape. A hands on approach will be emphasized. JEWELLERY WORKSHOP Instructor – Janice Peshke, B.F.A. Date: Sunday, February 5th & Sunday, March 4 Time: 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Cost: $92.00 Create funky, traditional or classy jewellery. Learn simple wire techniques to create custom looks, also chainmaking and more! Beads, wire supplied and tools for use. Material fee of $30 to be paid to instructor at the first of the two workshops.
