DVSA reserves the right to change, alter or cancel any course for reasons that include insufficient enrolment. To avoid disappointment, please register early. We cannot reserve a place in a course without payment.
All registrations include a $3.00 + HST registration fee per class.
There is a charge of $5.00 + HST to switch a class.
Instructors will be provided with a list of student names and phone numbers unless the office is notified that a student does not wish contact information to be shared with the instructor.
Payment must be made in full at time of registration. You can register online (PayPal), in person (cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard and Interac), by mail (send us a cheque or your credit card information, including cardholder’s name, card number and expiry date), or over the phone (Visa/Mastercard only). DVSA does not accept post-dated cheques. There will be a $25 administration charge for NSF cheques.
Students may register after the third week of classes if they have the instructor’s permission. Tuition will be prorated. A $20.00 +HST processing fee will be added.
Students who are registered in one 10-week course receive a five per cent discount on tuition for any additional 10-week courses they take during the same term. A student who is registered in five classes in a single term may enroll in additional classes without an additional tuition fee. All other class fees, including material fees and charges for models or firing, are payable and are due at the time of registration.
DVSA is pleased to offer seniors aged 65 years and over a discount of 10 per cent on tuition for 10-week courses. To be eligible for the discount, students must mention it at the time of registration via phone, the Web or in person. No refunds or credits will be issued after registration has been completed.
If DVSA cancels your course, you are entitled to a full course refund.
If you wish to withdraw from a one-day workshop, you will receive a refund of the workshop fee less a $5.00 processing fee provided the workshop has not taken place.
Refunds for withdrawals from multi-week courses are dependent on the timing of your withdrawal from the course. If you withdraw before the first class, you’ll receive a refund of the full course fees minus a processing fee of $20.00 + HST. If you wish to withdraw after the first class has taken place, you’re entitled to a 75 per cent refund of fees, less the $20.00 + HST processing fee. After the second class, you’ll receive a 50 per cent refund of fees, less the $20.00 + HST processing fee. There are no refunds or credits after the third class has taken place. The refund policy is the same, whether you attended any of the classes or not.
You can withdraw from a course at any time for medical reasons and an appropriate percentage of the tuition will be refunded. You must provide a doctor’s note to the office confirming the reason for the withdrawal.
