Practicing artist and instructor at George Brown College, Holly’s work ranges from the abstract to the figurative.
Holly studied at DVSA during the late ‘70s. She received a BA in Fine Art from the University of Waterloo in 1988 and a Master’s in Fine Art in painting from Cornell University in 1990.
Solo and group shows in Canada, Italy and the U.S. Currently represented by the Gallery on the Bay, Hamilton.
For Holly, painting is a conscious attempt to unravel, through visualization and introspection, the essential elements of significance in one’s life. While working through studies from life as well as abstract imagery, she tries to catch a glimpse beneath her own veneer of consciousness and construct a personal hypothesis of reality, with the goal that her work will resonate with the viewer.
