Award-winning artist specializing in drawing and painting and part-time instructor of Advanced Painting at Redeemer University.
Bruno began his formal art education at age 12. He completed his foundation studies at DVSA, completed his associate degree at the Ontario College of Art and Design and received a Master’s of Fine Arts in Visual Artfrom the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
Bruno has exhibited at galleries throughout the Northeast and Midwest U.S. and across Canada. He is represented by Hubert Gallery in New York City and by Galerie de Bellefeuille in Montreal. His work is found in numerous private and public collections and is featured annually at the nation’s premiere art showcase, Art Toronto.
A finalist in many competitions across the U.S. and Canada, Bruno is a three-time winner of the coveted international Elizabeth Greenshields Award. He also won first prize in the national ‘Evidence of Things Unseen’ competition. Bruno is a multiple winner of Ontario Arts Council grants and received exhibition assistance from Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs.
Bruno’s work is highly influenced by four separate trips to Italy, where he studied art independently, and by the study of both modern and old masters. In his work he strives for a balance of classical and contemporary sensibilities.
